The Treasure of the Ekos is a Journey mission in the chapter "Treasures of the Heart: The Buzz," in Cloud-Edge Cascades of Aniimo 1.1. It consists of spying on two Ekos who are hiding a chest, defeating them, and talking to them to recover the Golden Honey.
Where to find the suspicious ekos
This mission unlocks after investigating the theft of the Royalby honey during "Who Stole the Golden Honey?" and progressing to the objective "Find the Suspicious Ekos." Earlier, Robin—the Eko leader—instructs you to look for two suspects near the rock wall behind the waterfall. The location is on the Cliff Steps at Hanging Falls. (Who Stole the Golden Honey? )
The four objectives of The Treasure of the Ekos
- From the cliff steps of the hanging waterfalls, follow the marker to the two Ekos and their chest. Choose an Aniimo from the Eko family and use Interlace to assume the necessary shape. Approach the indicated point and eavesdrop on the first conversation.
- Keep or reuse Entrelazo with an Eko to complete the second listening objectiveFollow the marker and any interactions that appear, without attacking yet: these are two consecutive listening sessions and the mission does not advance to the confrontation until both are completed.
- Once the suspects are discovered, the newspaper changes to "Defeat the ekos"Fight them in the chest area and finish the battle. Don't leave after winning: there's still a conversation to be had.
- Speak with the Ekos after the confrontation and exhaust all dialogue options to complete the fourth objective. During this resolution, you obtain the Golden honey, which you need to continue the Royalby investigation.
What to do with golden honey
Return to "Who Stole the Golden Honey?" in Whitewater Canyon. You'll still need to re-examine the Dewlop's box, interact with a Puffby, return the honey to the Royalby, and complete the final clues to the theft. The Ekos mission ends here, but the main investigation continues.
Rewards for completing the mission
600 Safaris, 10 Sparkles, 10.000 Credits, and 30 Whispertwater Isles Dewdrop Crystals . Golden Honey is also obtained as a story item, which should not be confused with these four rewards.

The Treasure of the Ekos Mission Complete | Aniimo. In this guide you will find how to complete "The Treasure of the Ekos", a Journey mission from the chapter "Treasures of the Heart: The Buzz" in Cloudbound Cascades, within the Whispertwater Islands of Aniimo.
Two suspicious Ekos are guarding a chest from which a sweet scent emanates. This mission is related to the disappearance of the Royalby's golden honey, but it's a separate section from "Who Stole the Golden Honey?". Here, we focus on uncovering what the Ekos are hiding, resolving the confrontation, and retrieving the honey.
To access this part of the story, progress in the Golden Honey investigation until you complete the objective "Search for the suspicious Ekos." The search leads to the Hanging Falls Cliff Steps in Cloud-End Falls, near where the Ekos and their treasure are located. Robin, the Eko leader, also appears in the previous story, pointing out the presence of two suspicious Ekos.
Once there, speak with the Ekos when appropriate and use the interweaving mechanic with an Eko family Aniimo. The journal instructs you to interweave and eavesdrop on two consecutive objectives. Follow both to uncover their plans without skipping any necessary conversations.
After listening to the Ekos, the confrontation begins: defeat them and speak with them again to resolve the situation. During this part of the mission, you obtain the Golden Honey, an item related to the chapter's main investigation. Returning the honey to the Royalby and the subsequent events belong to "Who Took the Golden Honey?", not to the four objectives in this video.
Upon completing "The Treasure of the Ekos," you will receive 600 Safaris, 10 Sparkles, 10.000 Credits, and 30 Dewdrop Crystals from the WhisperTide Islands. Additionally, Golden Honey is listed as an item obtained during the quest.
This guide focuses on the four main objectives of the Journey quest: two actions (intertwining and eavesdropping), defeating the Ekos, and speaking with them to complete it. It is not a main quest, a side quest, or a creature location guide.
