Anna in Valor Mortis , known as the Bride Drowned in Tears , is one of the main bosses in the game. This article reviews the attacks that characterize her fight and what happens after defeating her: a direct confrontation with sickles, an unblockable jump, and summoned villagers that add pressure.
Where does the fight against Anna take place in Valor Mortis?
The confrontation takes place at the beginning of Chapter 06 — Punishment , in Cursed Basin, near the Haunted Sight Lantern. Anna is a humanoid enemy who moves across the sand and attacks swiftly at close range.
Unlike Death Mill, where combat focused on the environment's mechanisms and weak points, here the danger comes from the boss herself and the additional enemies. The video below shows only the complete fight against Anna , without the general movement sections.
Sickles, unblockable jump, and summoned villagers
During the fight, there are three specific threats to pay attention to:
- Sickle attacks: Anna uses quick, close-range strikes.
- Unblockable jump: Among its moves is a jump that cannot be blocked.
- Summoning villagers: The additional enemies complicate the confrontation, and their pressure can be just as dangerous as Anna's attacks.
Reward and mission available after Anna
Defeating Anna grants you 14.000 Catalysts and allows you to continue exploring Cursed Basin. Additionally, this victory is tied to the My Dying Girlfriend trophy/achievement.
After the battle you can interact with the flower wreath on the altar to start Side Mission 10 — Until Death.
