The Storm in the Tomb guide in Where Winds Meet explains how to complete this encounter in Cliff Path, within Eastern Peak, Qingzhou. It details the route to find Big Li, retrieve the buried box, and deliver it to him.
The encounter begins in the cemetery located southeast of the village of Pico Oriental and takes place between the area of the graves and the old house of Big Li's family.
How to start Storm in the Grave
First, you must unlock Qingzhou through the main story. Then, head to the Cliff Path Cemetery. As you approach, a heavy rain will begin: this is part of the encounter, so there's no need to wait for the weather to change or advance the game time.
Look for the small thatched hut by the graves and go inside for shelter. When the rain stops there, listen for crying and follow the sound to find Big Li.
If you also want to complete the area's exploration objectives, you can consult the Cliff Trail 100% guide at Where Winds Meet.
Steps to complete the encounter mission
- Find the source of the crying. Follow the sound from the cabin to the cemetery.
- Talk to Big Li. He is kneeling beside a tree decorated with red ribbons, among several gravestones. Listen to his story and finish the dialogue to activate the next objective.
- Locate the old house. Leave the cemetery and follow the objective westward, until you reach the abandoned property.
- Dig up the box. Before entering, listen to Old Zhu and Youme Zhu's conversation by the outer wall. Afterward, cross into the courtyard, locate the stone well, and examine the surrounding area to use the digging interaction to collect Big Li's Box.
- Talk to Old Man Chen. Don't go back to the cemetery yet. Find him near the house and explain why you've been digging. This conversation will allow you to continue the story of the encounter.
- Give the box to Big Li. Return to the tree with the red ribbons, speak to him, and select the "deliver" option. Listen to the final dialogue until the "Encounter Complete" notification appears.
Storm in the Tomb Rewards
Upon completing all six objectives of the encounter, you will receive 50 Echo Jade , 50 Qingzhou Exploration Points , 22.500 Coins , and 22.500 Stored Experience . After completing the mission, the special storm in the area will disappear.

To begin, unlock Qingzhou through the main story and head to the cemetery area, southeast of East Peak Village. As you approach, a heavy rainstorm will begin: this is an effect of the Encounter itself, so you don't need to wait for the weather to change or advance the game time. Look for the small thatched hut located next to the graves and enter for shelter. When the rain stops there, listen for crying and follow the sound.
You'll find Big Li kneeling beside a tree decorated with red ribbons, among several gravestones. Speak to him and listen to his story. He'll ask you to retrieve a box buried at his family's old house. Finish the dialogue to activate the marker for the next stage.

Then cross into the courtyard, locate the stone well, and examine the surrounding ground. Use the dig interaction to unearth Big Li's Box and collect it as a quest item.
Don't return to the cemetery yet. First, speak with Old Man Chen, who is standing near the house. Explain why you've been digging and listen to what he says about Big Li's childhood and past. This conversation is a necessary step to continue the story.
Finally, return to the tree with the red ribbons, speak to Big Li again, and use the delivery option to return the box to him. Listen to the final dialogue, which also relates to the Black Dragon River, until the "Encounter Completed" notification appears. The special storm in the area will disappear after completing the quest.
The log lists six objectives: find the source of the crying, locate the old house, investigate the source of the crying again, unearth the box, explain your intentions to Old Man Chen, and deliver the object to Big Li.
